A Nigerian man Killed by Malaysians

A Nigerian man known as Solomon was trying to help a friend of his who accidentally hits an Indian man's car. Solomon was not even the one involved in the accident, he only came to intervene when Malaysian locals were about to mob his friends, he and his friends were then surrounded and beaten by about 100 Malaysian locals. As Solomon was giving his statements to the Malaysian Police, he collapsed and died of internal bleeding due to the injury he sustained from the beating. No matter what religion, race, color or whatever we are, we all will face the creator someday. “No human race is superior; no religious faith is inferior. All collective judgments are wrong. Only racists make them. Our true nationality is mankind.” May his soul rest in the bosom of the Lord, and may God comfort his wife, son, and the rest of the family.

Girl raped & tortured to Death With A Huge Wood In Private Part

I found this heart breaking picture of this young girl murdered like she was nothing on net this morning.Seriously,i’ve not been myself since then. The details of where or how the victim was murdered havn’t been made known yet but I’ll try get every detailed information about the murder.

With the mind of a psychologist,I would say she was kidnapped, raped and intentionally tortured to death by maybe an enemy. It pains me most to know that the wicked barbarians who did this to are out there walking the streets freely.

May God have mercy!

We made love the day she died – Arowolo

Akolade Arowolo, the 31-year-old man standing trial for allegedly killing his banker wife, Titilayo, on June 24, 2011 said he and the deceased kissed and had sex for two hours on the day she died.
He added that the activity signified that they (couple) had a cordial relationship before her demise.
Akolade, who said his wife died on his 30th birthday, explained that although the marriage was good, it was not without its challenges.
He said, “That day she died was my birthday. I see birthdays as a new year in one’s life and I usually pray at the early hours of that day. I prayed till 3am but was woken by my wife’s kiss. We had sex for almost two hours and it was very good as we hadn’t done such in a while.
“We later prayed and talked about how we could improve on our relationship as well as business opportunities.”
Akolade said he only slapped his wife once throughout their three-year marriage, adding that their marriage was not a violent one as alleged.
Akolade, while being led in evidence by the defence counsel, Olanrewaju Ajanaku, told an Ikeja High Court on Thursday that he met his wife at Lagos State University in 2005 while he was taking classes for a postgraduate degree.

Senegalese woman traffics drugs for lover

A 33-year-old woman, Kamara Oumou, who was arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, has said she got involved in drug trafficking because of love.
Oumou, a Senegalese, was arrested at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos while attempting to board an Arik flight to Dakar after a one-week visit to her Nigerian lover, Hakeem.
Oumou had used industrial tape to strap three parcels of cocaine weighing 515 grammes to her waist, while six wraps of heroin weighing 165 grammes were inserted into her private parts.
NDLEA airport commander, Mr. Hamza Umar, said, “Oumou had in her possession a Senegalese international passport with number, 400680371.
“She was found to be in possession of 680 grammes of narcotic that tested positive for heroin and cocaine. It was carefully concealed but not intelligent enough to escape our detection.”
Oumou, however, said she was not paid money to smuggle the drugs.
She said, “How can I ask my boyfriend to pay me? I smuggled the drugs because of the love I have for Hakeem.”
Hakeem and Oumou allegedly met in Dakar where Hakeem had lived for 11 years. The couple were said to have dated for six months before Hakeem returned to Nigeria in December 2012.
It was learnt that Hakeem invited Oumou to Lagos and checked into a hotel where they spent a week together.
Oumou said her lover brought the drug to her hotel.

Police killed our men, aided vandals’ escape – NSCDC • Civil defence corps attacked our men –Police

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Lagos State Command, says policemen on Wednesday allegedly killed two officials of the corps.
It was learnt that five other NSCDC officials sustained gunshot wounds during the incident which occurred around 3am.
The NSCDC told PUNCH Metro that the slain officials, Gabriel Adaji and Innocent Akegbe, were on duty with their colleagues when they were “gunned down” by the policemen
The Deputy National Public Relations Officer for the corps, Mr. Sola Odumosu, told our correspondent that the NSCDC officials had just finished a raid in Ikorodu and had arrested some suspected pipeline vandals when the incident occurred.
He said, “This incident occurred while the officers and men of the corps were returning from a successful anti-vandal operation where vandals were arrested along with their exhibits and being transported back to the state headquarters of the corps.
“According to an eye witness’ account, the vandals made calls to their police collaborators for support as they could not overwhelm the anti-vandals team of the corps.
“Immediately the police got wind of this, they laid siege to the corps and opened fire on the NSCDC patrol vehicles killing two, while others fled with gunshot wounds. The vandals were later released by the police.
“The men of the corps had refused to fire a single shot because they saw that the shooters were policemen. They only express shock at a sister agency who ordinarily should assist in fighting crime are the ones aiding the criminals while the vandals continue to flourish.”
Odumosu maintained that the killing was deliberate as the NSCDC men were in uniform while the vehicle they used during the operation was inscribed.
Another official who spoke to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity, however, said the NSCDC officials had had an altercation with some policemen earlier
He said, “After the raid, the officials were driving along the expressway when they were accosted by a team of policemen. An argument ensued as one of the policemen said they had no right to operate in the area.
“The NSCDC men explained that it was their duty to protect all government facilities including oil pipelines. After some argument, our men left but unknown to them, a team of policemen had laid ambush ahead.
“The policemen opened fire on our men before fleeing.”

Professor kills himself after being caught up in blackmail catfish scam

A university professor killed himself after being caught up in a catfish scam which saw him sending sexually explicit pictures of himself to someone he thought was a minor.

Texas A&M's James Arnt Aune, 59, jumped from a campus parking garage Jan. 8 after a relative of the underage Louisiana girl he was contacting tried to blackmail him for $5,000.

Aune sent his alleged tormentor — Daniel Timothy Duplaisir, 37 — a text message just minutes before his death which said: "Killing myself now. And u will be prosecuted for blackmail."

Police say Duplaisir took naked pictures and videos of his young relative and created a page on the social-networking MocoSpace.com.

Using a fake name, and the email address pretty-gurl985@yahoo.com, he targeted several men — obtaining their phone numbers and sending them the graphic content.

Then, he would call his alleged victims — pretending to be the girl's outraged father — and demand payment of thousands of dollars to cover the cost of her counseling.

Chron.com reports Duplaisir wanted married Houston father-of-two Aune, who was also chair of the school's Department of Communications, to pay him $5,000.

An FBI affidavit revealed he threatened to call police and his employers if his demands were not met.

Aune, who told his wife in mid-December he was being blackmailed, allegedly handed him $1,000 and promised to send more money later on in the month, the document added.

Duplaisir, charged in 2011 with aggravated incest and oral sexual battery for allegedly abusing the same female relative he used in the scam, was indicted last week.

He is due to be arraigned in federal court Tuesday on a charge of using a phone and the Internet to extort money from Aune.

Kim Kardashian "Tweets" 'Nigeria is Disgusting — their Women look like Apes'

NewsRescue- US reality show, and porn movie star, Kim Kardashian reportedly tweeted about her recent visit to Nigeria that
“Nigeria is such a disgusting country. I couldn’t wait to leave. lol Scott said their women look like apes, and I agree.”

Kim was invited to Nigeria and supposedly paid $500,000 by a Nigerian publicity freak, Darey Art Alade for a valentine show.

The US based actress spent barely 20 minutes at the event before jetting back to the United States via the next available Air France flight. Dare has come under tremendous abuse from Nigerians on social media for inviting the pregnant publicity hound, Kim to Nigeria.

The tweet does not appear on her timeline at present and may be Photoshopped, but Nigerian tweeters are abuzz with the story, regardless of its authenticity. It’s apparently not what they would not expect.

Envious youths killed my son – Slain undergraduate’s father

Mr. Boye Otenaike, the father of the undergraduate who was killed in Mushin, Lagos State last week, has described his son’s murder as the handiwork of envious youths.
The deceased, Adeolu, was a 400 Level student of North American University, Houdegbe, Benin Republic.
He was out with friends celebrating the purchase of a Honda car when he was killed by suspected cultists.
Boye, who was close to tears, said he was pained because all his efforts towards the progress of his son were in vain.
He said, “I have five children and Adeolu was my second child. I believe in giving my children quality education that was why I sent Adeolu to study Business Administration outside the country even though the school fees is very expensive.
“Even my other child is in Ghana because I believe in spending money on securing a bright future for my children.”
Asked if his son was involved in cult activities or with people of shady character, Boye said, “My son was not a cultist. I trained him very well. He was killed by some youths in the area that were envious of him because he attended a good school and had just bought a new car.
“He only came home for the Easter break. They killed him when he was about to graduate. It is very painful.”
Boye, who is still recovering from a minor stroke, expressed disappointment in the manner with which the police were carrying out their investigations.
Boye claimed that the police knew those behind his son’s murder but went about arresting innocent people.
He said, “The police know about this case very well. They know where the murder took place which is beneath the bridge at Jibowu. But instead of them arresting the people there, they have been arresting people on our street.
“The police should arrest those behind Adeolu’s death, they are youths in Mushin and they (police) know them. Although nothing can bring my son back to life, I want justice for him.”
It was learnt that 26-year-old Adeolu had been buried at Matori Cemetery.

Women arraigned for cutting neighbour with blade

Two women – Temitope Abigeal and Temitope Remi – have been arraigned before a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Ebute Meta on a three count of conspiracy, assault and grievous harm.
Abigeal (26) and Remi (28), both choristers at a Cherubim and Seraphim church at Progressive Road, Ebute Meta, were said to have assaulted Hannah Okurabe (18) with razor blades at Abule Nla junction, a few metres away from the church.
The March 17, 2013 incident was said to be the result of an earlier fight over the church’s choirmaster, Joseph Unuigbe.
A father of two, Unuigbe is married to Folashade, who is also a member of the same church.
The charge read, “That you Temitope Abigeal and Temitope Remi at about 18.30 hours at Abule Nla junction, Apapa Road, Ebute Meta West, Lagos in the Lagos Magisterial District did conspire amongst yourselves to commit felony to wit assault and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 409 of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.
“That you, Temitope Abigeal and Temitope Remi in the aforementioned magisterial district did unlawfully use a razor blade to cut one Okurabe Hannah on her cheek, eyelid, left ear and back of her neck which caused her grievous harm and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 243 of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.”
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.”
Their counsel, identified simply as Mr. Chukwudi, made a bail application.
The prosecutor, Mr. Ishola Samuel, objected to the bail application, saying that the complainant was presently admitted to the Lagos Island General Hospital.
Samuel said, “If bail is granted, the defendants are likely to abscond from the court and that would prejudice the interest of justice. In view of this, I ask this honourable court to discountenance the bail application of the defence counsel.”
The Magistrate, Mrs. M. O. Tanimola, ruled that the charge was a bailable offence.
She said, “Bail is hereby granted the two defendants in the sum of N200,000 each in like sum. Defendants are to produce two responsible sureties who are gainfully employed and with evidence of tax payments to the state government in the last three years.
“The sureties must be relatives of the defendants and their addresses are to be verified. Case is adjourned to the April 17 2013 for mention.”
The suspects are said to be currently remanded at the Kirikiri Minimum Prison.

Terrorism: Henry Okah jailed for 24 years

IN  what appeared to be a major breakthrough in Nigeria’s war against terror, a former leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, Henry Okah, was on Tuesday sent to 24 years in prison by a South African court sitting in Johannesburg.
The judge, Neels Claassen, found Okah guilty of 13 offences, including the setting off of two bombs in Abuja and Warri, Delta State, on October 1, 2010. He was also sentenced for threatening the South African government after his arrest.
Back home, the MEND over which Okah presided, said it was shocked by the sentence, saying it was a planned punishment by both the Nigerian and South African governments.
The two major bomb attacks in Nigeria for which Henry Okah was convicted in Nigeria were carried out to embarrass President Goodluck Jonathan, Claaseen said on Tuesday while sentencing the accused.
Curiously, the Federal Government did not react to the development on Tuesday.
Efforts by The PUNCH to obtain the reaction of the government failed as  Jonathan’s spokesman, Reuben Abati; and the President’s aide on public affairs, Doyin Okupe refused to pick the calls made to their mobile phones up till 11.10pm.
Okah had been found guilty in January by Claassen of South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg where he had been facing trial since 2010.
Delivering his judgment on Tuesday in Johannesburg, the judge said, “Having found the accused guilty in the 13-count charge of acts of terrorism, it’s now the duty of the court to sentence him, taking into account the position of the victim, the convict and the world community.”
He said that the struggle of the MEND “is politically motivated and as a result a maximum sentence for Okah will be inappropriate.”
The judge said South Africa being a signatory to the UN Treaty on Terrorism Acts allowed the convict to be tried in South Africa though the events took place in Nigeria.
“As a signatory, South Africa is duty bound to adopt the treaty and incorporate it into the laws of South Africa, in other words domicile the treaty,” Claaseen said.

Boko Haram: 900 corps members redeployed from Kano

Out of 2,400 members of the National Youth Service Corps in the  Batch A posted to Kano State for the 2012/2013 service year, about 900 of them have been redeployed to other states due to the current security challenge in the commercial city.
According to a report monitored on Channels TV on Tuesday, the state Coordinator of the NYSC  in the state, Salisu Yakasai, made this known during the closing ceremony of the Batch A orientation exercise in Kano on Tuesday.
The corps members were redeployed because of the recent  bomb attacks in the state with the latest being the attack at a motor park in the city.
Most of the corps members expected to undergo their primary assignments in the state were initially reported to have declined to report to the orientation camp.
Traumatised by the recent attack at the bus park,  majority of the fresh graduates sought to be redeployed to other parts of the country.
According to Yakassai,  the remaining 1,500 corps members would be posted to the rural areas of the state, which are considered safer.
Meanwhile, the state Deputy Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has promised corps members staying in the state  that the  state government would ensure the safety of the corps members in the state.
Apart from the attack on the bus park, where about 80 persons were believed to have lost their lives, nine riot policemen were also ambushed less than 24 hours after the bus park bombing, only escaping by the whiskers.

My husband can't stop me from singing dirty songs- Saint Janet

To Omotoyosi Kayode Iyun, popularly known as Saint Janet, singing vulgar lyrics in Yoruba and the controversies that come with doing so have become a part of her life, as she reveals in this interview with ’Nonye Ben-Nwankwo
You always perform every weekend. How do you cope with the home front?
I can’t really say how I cope. It is just the grace of God. It is not by my might. It didn’t start today. I have been doing this kind of job right from the beginning.
When was the beginning?
It was 14 years ago. I have been in this business for a long time.
In these 14 years, have you never felt like quitting?
I enjoy what I’m doing. If I weren’t enjoying myself, I would have felt like quitting. But since I am happy, that issue hasn’t come up at all.
I learnt you were a chorister. Which church was that?
I’m a Christian. Anyway, I’m a member of a white garment church. I was a chorister in the white garment church I was attending.
So you moved from being a chorister to a highlife/juju singer.
I didn’t really move like that. I was a back-up singer at first. I had a boss. His name is Los Kenge. He was very popular in Abeokuta. I spent about three years with him before I went solo.
Why did you go solo?
My master (boss) felt I was very okay. It got to a time both of us became the lead vocalists. Nobody could differentiate between us because we were doing same thing; so he decided it was time I went solo.
Why did you choose ‘Saint Janet’ as your stage name?
It was this same boss that gave me the name. Those days, I was and of course, I still am a very shy person. Then, whenever we weren’t doing anything, I would just be on my own. I would sit quietly and not bother talking to anybody. People would be complaining because they knew I wasn’t like that on stage. They would say I usually behave like a quiet person but would turn to another thing on the stage. My boss would tell them to leave his ‘saint’ alone. He would call me Saint Janet. So I decided to stick to the name when I left him.
But somebody who hasn’t seen that quiet side of you might just conclude that you are very wild. Doesn’t it bother you?

Fans Lambast Chioma Akpotha For Being 'Rude'

Scandal-free actress, Chioma Akpotha almost had a situation of 'heat of the moment' on Wednesday when she engaged a fan on twitter.

According to what we gathered, one of her twitter followers asked the beautiful actress if she was an actor, she answered in the affirmative.

The fan had asked, "are you an actor or an actress?" going by what Chioma wrote in her profile that "I am an award winning Actor." The fan told Chioma to check her profile well and probably correct what he felt was wrong; changing the 'Actor' for 'Actress'.

The same question was asked again by the same person which was again answered by the Glo brand ambassador.

But Chioma lost her calm afterwards as the vividly angry LASU graduate then asked, "Are you blind, deaf, dumb or just plain daft?"

Chioma's reaction was then greeted with condemnation as some twitter followers lambasted her for being rude. This forced the actress to clear the air that she only asked a question and never insulted the guy that asked the same questions from her.

WOSEM founder, Obadare, passes on at 86

MR. Timothy Oluwole Obadare, the blind prophet, whom thousands revered because of his reported healing powers, is dead.
Obadare was the General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide and founder of the World Soul Winning Evangelical Ministry (WOSEM) headquartered in Akure, Ondo State.
He was confirmed dead Thursday by his youngest son, Pastor Joseph Obadare. He died at the age of 86.
Obadare  passed  on yesterday at his number 16, Adinlewa Street, Akure residence, close to the expansive WOSEM headquarters, where members of the congregation began gathering as the news of his passage filtered into town.
Although none of the church workers was able to confirm the veracity of the news of the death of the prophet, who hailed from Ilesa, Osun State, preferring to wait for an official announcement to be made by the family through the first son, Pastor Paul Obadare , who is said to be overseas, many wore long faces and discussed the development in hushed tones.
But when The Guardian made another visit to the residence of "Baba" as the prophet was called by many, the younger Pastor Obadare, who had earlier insisted on waiting for the family announcement, confirmed the news which was already being spread by the social media.
According to him, "Baba, because of old age, had been confined to this house for some time and today he peacefully moved up to the higher realm of existence. Prophet T.O Obadare is dead."
As journalists who had been waiting for confirmation got it, the news rapidly spread across town and many sympathisers, mainly women who had gathered to fetch water from the "Kosehunti well", believed to have miraculous healing properties, trooped to the residence, some rejoicing that “Baba” lived a fulfilled life while others expressed shock at the development.
Those who expressed shock said they had thought that the prophet, who after about three years had not attended the monthly “Kosehunti” prayer meetings, made a surprise appearance last February 1.
His appearance, albeit for only about one hour in a full-day programme, threw the entire auditorium, which is always filled to capacity, into wild ecstasy.
The prophet's personal driver since 1988, Pastor Gbenga Obatuyise, who spoke to The Guardian at the residence, said : "Baba was father to thousands of children and I am happy to be one of them. He turned my life around and through him I found a new life in Christ."
A member of the congregation of CAC Oke-Itura which Prophet Obadare attended anytime he was at home in Akure, Michael Dawodu, who initially doubted the prophet's death asked several times "are you sure that you heard the news correctly?
"Baba had been rumoured to have died more than three times and at the end of each, he was found to be alive. So please be sure so that you don’t report falsehood about a man of God."
When he was told that the family had confirmed the death, Dawodu said: "May Baba's soul rest in perfect peace. He was a remarkable man of God."
Reactions also started to pour in shortly after news of   Obadare’s death broke. Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko said yesterday that the death of Obadare was an example of the marching on of a saint.

Boko Haram moves to Lagos

Joint operatives from Department of State Security Service (DSS) and the military have arrested a Chadian with explosives, arms and ammunition in Ijora Badiya on Lagos Mainland.

The operation and the arrest of the Chadian with bombs sent shivers down the spines of residents of the area who were suspecting that the dreaded terrorist group, Boko Haram, may have finally arrived in Lagos.

Daily Sun reliably gathered that the operation follows information from residents of Ijora Badiya that a strange man had been making some suspicious movements in the area. The suspect whose identity remains a secret for now, was alleged to have rented a mini-flat in the area since the past one month.

The man was said to have been making some suspicious movements and after last Monday’s multiple bombings of the Luxury Bus Park in Kano metropolis, residents of Badiya became afraid and reported him to the DSS. The DSS was said to have mounted surveillance on the man and after confirming the fears of their informants, they contacted the military.

E*X*P*O*S*E*D! FACES OF BOKO HARAM SPONSORS – Pointblank News

“Most of them (Northern governors), pay us monthly to leave their states alone”…that was one of the spokesmen for Boko Haram, Saidu Umar aka Usman Al Zawahiri.

For eternity these lunatics have unleashed terror on the Nigeria state and its people. As at last Friday, death toll, policemen, soldiers and civilians’ hovers between 950 and 1200…and still counting.

While The Federal Government and its security chiefs have perfected how to write condolence speeches, the deadly sect continues to grow in strength, employing sophisticated tactics reminiscent of Al Qaeda modus operandi.

They have several times boasted about their ‘exploits’ and often reveled why they remain invincible. Top guns like Umar Sokoto, Baba Kuwa Fugu, Imam Abubakar, Sanda Umar, Ustaz Mohammed Yusuf (late), Uzairu Abba Abdulahi (late) and Zawahiri, have at different fora dropped hints about those behind them.

They have fingered governors, members of the national assembly, security operatives, emirs, etc. Today, we present the faces of those who have given financial and moral support to Boko Haram, right from the days of the Jos crises, and also give you snippets into their mindsets, or a brief profile.
This is the first installment. As time goes on we will continue to put faces to this sponsors and sympathizers.

Speaker Aminu Tambuwal says “ There is need to forgive them ( Boko Haram). We should bring them to the table and discuss with them to see how to end these problems”

100 soldiers storm terror suspects’ hideouts in Lagos

Fear gripped many residents of Lagos  on Thursday  when news  filtered in that troops numbering about 100 stormed terror suspects’ hideouts in Ijora, a  densely populated part of the city.
The soldiers, who were assisted by men of the State Security Service, were  believed to have acted on a tip-off. They were said to have arrived in the area around 7am in search of the suspects said to be  members of an Islamic fundamentalist sect, Boko Haram.
It was learnt that their search yielded fruits  when  two persons were arrested at 24 Aromire Street and three others at a location in an adjacent street.
The soldiers then ransacked the building at Aromire Street  where one of the arrested persons,  Ibrahim Musa,  occupies five rooms. A bomb  kept in a cooler and hidden inside the ceiling of one of the rooms in Musa’s apartment was recovered by the soldiers.
Musa, who a security source described as an illegal alien from Chad, was  said to be leader of the suspects.
Other items found  were AK-47 rifles, cartridges and daggers.
The security  source, who craved anonymity,  added the raid was as a result of an investigation which began a month ago.
He said, “Security agents got information a month ago that there was a terrorist hideout in  the Seven-Up area of  Ijora. Although we were not sure if they were Boko Haram members or not, we did not want to take any chances so we decided to go and raid the place.
“It was discovered that the place was being run by a Chadian and arms were recovered during the raid,  including AK-47 riffles. Investigations are ongoing and those who are found not culpable will be released.”
Musa’s neighbour,  who craved anonymity, told one of our correspondents that they did not suspect  he  was a member of Boko Haram.

Man accused of raping daughters, granddaughter

A seven-year-old girl (name withheld), has accused her 49-year-old father of rape.
The girl said her father, Sylvester Ehijele, had on numerous occasions had sex with her, adding that he used to promise to buy her goodies and toys before the actions.
She said he usually had sex with her on a daily basis whenever her mother was not home.
She said, “Whenever my mum is not at home, he grabs me, forces his hand over my mouth and then inserts his penis into my private part. He promises to buy me a car, cake and biscuit but he doesn’t buy anything for me.
“He also threatens to use a knife to gouge my eyes out anytime I threaten to report to my mother.”
Sylvester’s wife, Margaret, told PUNCH Metro that he (Ehijele) also raped their 23-year-old daughter when she was much younger and recently, he raped their one-year-old granddaughter that lives with them.
She said, “I am a caterer. In 2006 I went to Abuja for a catering job where I spent five days. But at about 1am, my first daughter, who was about 17-years-old at the time, called me on the phone crying that her father raped her that night.
“When I returned, I confronted him but he beat me up and he continued to molest our daughter and each time I confronted him, it earned me a beating. I had no choice but to leave him when I got fed up with seeing him molesting our daughter and later sleeping with me. I took my six children and we relocated.”
She said in 2011, Sylvester’s family settled their  differences and urged the couple to reconcile for the sake of the children.
She said her husband swore never to touch any of his daughters again and she reluctantly returned to her husband’s house.
Margaret said she was however disappointed to find out that less than a year after moving in with her husband, he went back to his old ways.
She said, “We reconciled in May 2011 and I really thought he had changed but in August last year, I caught him in a compromising situation with our seven-year-old daughter. I called her out and she told me how her father had constantly been abusing her.
“Again, I confronted him and he beat me up. I had to pick my daughter and ran to his brother’s house, where I stayed for three days before I went back home.”
Mrs. Ehijele said she continued to cope with her husband’s ways until he finally raped their 15-month-old granddaughter.
She said, “Because my oldest daughter works, we decided to put her daughter baby at a day care in Ejigbo. I have always been the only one that brings her back at 6pm everyday from the day care. But on that particular day, my husband went to the day care and after an altercation with the teacher, he took the baby home.
“He took the baby home and hours later the baby was crying profusely. When I got home, the baby was still crying and I wondered what was wrong. When I finally took off her diapers so I could bathe her, I noticed she was bleeding in her private part. When I raised the alarm, my husband was unnerved. That was when I suspected him.
“I rushed down to the Ejigbo Police Station and reported the matter.”
Margaret said she had been married to the suspect for over 23 years and lamented that he had had carnal knowledge of all their daughters.
“I have two daughters, four sons and a granddaughter. Sadly, my husband has raped all of the females,” she said.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, said the suspect would soon be charged to court on charges of defilement.
“The suspect is in the habit of sleeping with his daughters and now his granddaughter. We have the doctor’s report which shows that the girls have been defiled,” she said.
A copy of medical report issued by the Isolo General Hospital reads in part that, “The vaginal hymens of the girls are no longer intact.”
Sylvester however denied the allegation, adding that it was his wife that poisoned his daughters’ minds against him.
He said his wife left him initially because he had refused to pay her dowry.
He said, “If I was the one that raped them, let me die. My wife and I were separated for four years and it was because her family said I hadn’t paid her bride price. After we reconciled, she told my daughters to tell lies against me in order to disgrace me.
“Even my oldest daughter confessed to my family that I never raped her and that it was my wife that told her to lie.”
When quizzed about the medical report, Sylvester said it was not authentic.

I thought bombers were potential passengers —Survivor

As the smoke cleared from the New Road Luxury Bus Motor Park, in Sabon Gari Kano, victims of the terror attack, who were lucky to be alive to tell their stories, on Tuesday recalled moments before the bomb went off.
Most of the injured victims are currently receiving medical attention at the Murtala Mohammed Memorial Hospital, Kano.
One of the victims, Mr. Emmanuel Bassey, 37, who works at the Luxury bus park as a  park attendant  attached to Ezewanta  Transport, said he was hurt but lucky and happy to be alive.
In a telephone interview with our correspondent, (before hospital staff ended the encounter), he was full of gratitude to God for sparing his life.
According to him, he and several of his colleagues were going about their normal duties of attracting passengers to board buses for a commission when a small car with two occupants came into the park.
“I rushed to them faster than most of my colleagues. I went and asked them where they were going and one of them said they had yet to decide and that when they decided they would let me know. I left them and went away.
“But four of my other colleagues rushed to the car when they saw that I did not succeed.
“As they approached the vehicle, the driver sped off and headed towards some of the parked buses. Almost immediately, I heard a deafening sound! Then a thick black smoke and fire; there was confusion everywhere. I thank God I am lucky to be alive, my other colleagues died.”
He was not alone, Magawa Goje, 45, a retailer of dried beef, popularly called Kilishi, also counted himself lucky.
Goge said, “I sell Kilishi (dried beef) at the Sabon Gari Luxury bus park. I was busy selling my Kilishi to people who are getting on the bus when I heard a loud band and felt a sharp pain on my chin. That is all I can remember before I woke up on this bed. I heard people saying Boko Haram did this. Whoever did this will rot in the hottest part of hell. Allah will surely judge them.”
Meanwhile, traders in and around the park have relocated into other areas of Sabon Gari as rumours of reprisals continued to fill the air. Security has also been beefed up around places of worship.
