CCTV punch attacks: Nigerian Michael Ayoade jailed for 4 years

The 35 year old Nigerian man, Michael Ayoade, who was caught on CCTV punching a teenage girl and a female student, and leaving them unconscious on the ground, has been jailed for four years.

Michael attacked female student, Daniella Montieth, in 2011, without any provocation. She was taken to the hospital with a broken tooth after he hit her in the side of the head at Plaistow tube station. Then on November 13th 2012 he jogged up behind a 16-year-old girl in the High Street and punched her in the head. The teenager fell to the ground, breaking three of her teeth. Ayoade was arrested shortly after the attack on the teenager.

During his trial, Ayoade said the teenager had "looked at him in a rude way" and that he could not go through the rest of the day having taken "an insult from a little person like that".

Ayoade was yesterday sentenced to four years in prison for the attack on the teenager and 19 months for punching the student. The two sentences will run concurrently.

Man Has Sex With Dead Woman, Hands Himself To Police To Be Arrested

Police have arrested a 32-year-old male domestic worker after he allegedly killed a female workmate and later raped the corpse.

The woman was employed as a housemaid and she had turned down his sexual advances. The suspect, Tineyi Chigedhe, Zimbabwe, surrendered himself to the police after allegedly committing the murder and rape.

The incident which has left the Chiwundura community in a state of shock, occurred on Wednesday last week at Nyoka Village under Chief Chiwundura. The deceased woman has been identified as Emily Mkwende (26) who was working with the suspect at a Mr Nyoka's homestead.

Acting police spokesperson for Midlands Province, Assistant Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, confirmed the incident yesterday. He could, however, not give further details, saying he was not in office.

"I can confirm that police have arrested a man who is employed as a domestic worker after he allegedly killed a fellow female workmate before he later raped the corpse. I am not in the office to give finer details into the matter," he said.

A police source close to the investigations said on the fateful day, Chigedhe and the now deceased Mkwende, were left at the house by their employer, only identified as Mr Nyoka as he had traveled. The source said during the night on the same day, Chigedhe proposed love to Mkwende but she turned him down.

"Chigedhe, who could not stomach being turned down, proceeded to make sexual advances at Mkwende but she would thwart his every effort. After failing to convince Mkwende to have sex with him, Chigedhe went on to draw a log from a fowl run and demanded to have sex with Mkwende while threatening to assault her," said the source.

The source said after Chigedhe realized that Mkwende was not giving in to his demands, he struck her once with the log on the back. He later struck her once on the head after she screamed resulting in her falling to the ground.

"The suspect tried to resuscitate Mkwende by pouring water on her body after she started breathing with difficulty but she died on the spot. Chigedhe then went on to rape Mkwende's corpse before he covered it with a blanket," said the source.

The source said Chigedhe was arrested the following morning after he surrendered himself to the police at Muchakata Police Base.

"Chigedhe is still in police custody assisting with investigations. He is however not denying the murder and rape charges he is facing. Police who attended the murder scene found Mkwende's body with some semen on its private parts and Chigedhe is suspected to have raped the corpse several times," said the source.

Woman Stabbed to Death By Her Mother-In-Law

A wicked mother-in-law, Mrs Kareen Opara, has gone underground after allegedly stabbing her son’s wife, Esther Oluchi, to death in Anguwa Baba area of Nasarawa State. But the police have launched a hot chase to fish her out.

The women, who lives in the same neighbourhood with his son, Chinedu and the deceased wife, hailed from Imo State. She was alleged to have been at loggerheads for sometime over a picture taken by the deceased at the wedding of her (Kareen’s) daughter, last December.

Trouble was said to have broken out between the late Oluchi and her mother-in-law when it was reported to her that Kareen (her mother-in-law) was caught at a herbalist’s home with one of her photographs.

In a bid to retrieve the picture, Oluchi approached Kareen and pleaded with her to return the said picture to her but she ignored all pleas and rather took offence for the effrontery of her daughter-in-law.

Angered by what she saw as “confrontation” by her son’s wife, Mrs Kareen confronted her son Chinedu and warned him to call his wife to order or risk being punished with her.

Unknown to the son that the mother had not forgiven his wife for daring to ask her to return her picture, Chinedu tried to mediate in the spat to appease his mother and the wife.

Family sources said a peace meeting summoned by Chinedu to reconcile his mother with the late wife ended in violence, as the mother, who was armed with a sharp machete, went for her daughter-in-law, who was carrying one of her two daughters on her back and stabbed her in the tummy. The machete pierced through her abdomen and she bled to death.

Sadly, the stabbed woman was even five-month pregnant.... Tragic!

UK police now suggesting Nigerian Girl Naomi Oni Poured the Acid on herself

 Police are believed to have seized a computer belonging to a young woman who was badly scarred in an acid attack amid suspicions that she may have caused the injuries herself. But her family fear that detectives are not doing enough to catch the perpetrator of the attack and are focusing on a 'crazy' line of inquiry.

Naomi Oni, 20, was left with horrific injuries following the incident which happened as she left work at the end of last year and was in hospital for nearly a month receiving treatment.
 Police are understood to have taken Miss Oni's laptop and are said to have discovered that she had searched the internet for websites about acid attacks before she received her injuries.

Searches are said to include material on Katie Piper, the former model who has campaigned for facial disfigurement victims since she was scarred in an acid attack in 2008, according to the Sunday Times.

Officers are said to have asked Miss Oni's relatives whether she may have inflicted the injuries on herself but her boyfriend Ato Owede, 23, has dismissed that line of inquiry as 'crazy'.


He told the Sunday Times: 'They (the police) need to keep investigating.
'They're concentrating on the wrong things at the moment in terms of (her) researching acid attacks and stuff like that.'They are just coming to a silly conclusion.'

Lagos Bride To Be Is Hit By Vehicle And Killed When Trying To Recover Her Purse From Thief

A young lady identified as Bukola Adelowo, met her untimely death on Friday in Lagos as she was killed by a fast moving vehicle when she attempted to recover her bag snatched by a suspected thief – the suspect also met his waterloo as he was knocked down by another car which killed him.Information Nigeria gathered that the incident occurred at about 7 a.m., on the busy Adeniji Adele-Oworosoki Expressway on the Lagos Island.
The suspect allegedly snatched the lady’s bag and ran across the six-lane expressway.
“The lady ran after him to recover her bag without being mindful of the vehicles on the road. The suspect and the lady were killed by two different vehicles.
“The body parts of the lady were scattered on the road, and the accident caused a heavy traffic,” a source said.
A lady, who simply identified herself as Olufunke and who claimed to be a younger sister of the deceased, said that the victim was concluding arrangements for her wedding in July before her tragic death.

Olufunke, who was sobbing uncontrollably, said that she was informed of her elder sister’s death on phone by someone who knew both of them and she immediately rushed to the scene of the incident.
“The dead lady is my sister. Her name is Bukola Adelowo. She was to marry in July. Her fiancée just left Nigeria for abroad to prepare for the wedding. It is a very sad moment,” Olufunke said.
Contacted, the Lagos police spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, said she was yet to be informed of the accident. (NAN)

Police arrest suspect for Lagos explosion

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man in connection with the explosion which occurred on Miracle Sand Beach under the Amuwo Odofin Link Bridge resulting in the death of the chairman of the Sand Dredgers Association, Oladele Pius.

The suspect, it was learnt, was arrested on Wednesday at the site of the explosion by policemen. According to reliable sources, the suspect was caught while trying to make away with scraps of the device that caused the explosion.

The source said the suspect had been taken to the Area E command, FESTAC and was being interrogated.

“One person has been arrested and he has implicated some people already. However, investigations are ongoing. He was attempting to recover some wires which were believed to have caused the explosion. Give us enough time to complete investigation,” he said.

The police had on Tuesday quizzed the people who last spoke with the deceased after reports that he was called from home to come to his duty post under the bridge a few minutes before the explosion occurred.

Friends of the deceased had also told PUNCH Metro that several attempts had been made on his life by virtue of his position as the chairman of the association as well as a leader and benefactor to many in Amuwo Odofin.

The deceased had only recently won a re-election as chairman.

The police had however said the explosion was not caused by a bomb but an electrical fault under the bridge.

When contacted on the telephone, the spokesperson for the state police command, Ngozi Braide, said she could not confirm any arrest as of press time.

“Many people have called me about the arrest but I have not been able to get in touch with the Area E Commander,” she said.

Inside Hope House, Kate discussed her pregnancy with two women in an art therapy class. Lisa, a mother of three, told US Weekly that she asked the Duchess if she was nervous about giving birth. "She said, 'It would be unnatural if I wasn't. It's just human, isn't it?'" She also talked candidly with Natalie, another Hope House resident in recovery, about her early pregnancy struggles. "She was saying she had been unwell but is feeling better now.

Kate is about four months pregnant—she and William, the Duke of Cambridge, expect a baby in July. Their child, no matter its gender, is third in line to the throne behind Prince Charles and the Duke of Cambridge. 

As part of her official duties, Kate serves as patron to the royal family’s “Action on Addiction,” a series of projects to help those who struggle with addiction. Hope House is one of the organizations that benefits from the program. Tuesday marked Kate’s second visit to the house since her marriage in April 2011.

The Duchess is restarting her schedule of public appearances after she was forced to cut back because of severe morning sickness. The British public is eager to keep an eye on Kate and her growing bump.

Bomb blast on Festac new Bridge. 1 Dead, Heavy Police Presence around the scene.

ONE  person was,  on Monday morning,  killed and another injured as an improvised explosive device exploded under the New Bridge between Awuwo Odofin and FESTAC Town in Lagos State.

The incident, which reportedly occurred around 11.00 a.m, created serious among residents of the river bank and Amuwo Odofin community, following the devastating effect of the explosion.

The deceased was identified as Pius Oladele, popularly known as “Apase,” leader of the Association of Sand Dredgers under the bridge, while the injured victim had been identified as a police inspector.

Angry workers around the area had, immediately after the explosion, descended on the police inspector, accussing him of being responsible for the blast, which tore Apase’s body into pieces.

An assessment of the call log on the injured  policeman’s mobile phone number  revealed that he had, at about an hour  before the incident, had a conversation with the deceased, whom he claimed gave him N5,000.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that the deceased must have been the target, as the explosion occurred at the spot where he usually sit down.

Super Eagles Rejected Our Sex Offer – Association Of Nigerian Prostitutes

It was reported few weeks ago that the Association of Nigerian Prostitutes (ANP), the umbrella body of commercial sex workers in the country vowed to declare one week free sex should the Super Eagles of Nigeria  return home with the African Cup of Nations trophy.

We also exclusively reported that the association sent over 113 members to South Africa  to cheer the Eagles to victory in the final cracker against the Stallions of Burkina Faso, which Nigeria won by a lone goal.

It was gathered that shortly after the victory last Sunday, one of the ringleaders approached a top member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) who was in South Africa to watch the match about their promise.

“He chased me and asked me to go to hell,” the lady told our reporter on telephone.

When asked if the promise was just for the Eagles or the entire country, the visibly angry lady replied: “Either for the Eagles or the country, he doesn’t have any right to tell me to go to hell, we are human beings. We will send in our press statement shortly,” she added.

A statement made available to us on Sunday and signed by the General Secretary, Jessica Elvis reads in part.

“The Association of Nigerian Prostitutes (ANP) wishes to congratulate the Super Eagles and indeed the entire nation for the successful outing of our senior national team in the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations, South Africa 2013. We are happy just like every other Nigerian.

Shortly after the victory on Sunday, one of our leaders met a top member of the Glass House in South Africa and informed him of our planned ‘free booz’ for the Eagles when they return to the country, but he outrightly rejected our offer. Police arrest prophet, other for possessing human parts in Lagos

Two men, including a prophet of a white-garment church have been arrested for being in possession of human body parts.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspects were arrested on Saturday in Ikotun area of Lagos State.

It was learnt that one of the suspects, Kunle Olaide, who was carrying a polythene bag, was accosted by some policemen attached to the Ikotun Division.

The source said,  “Policemen attached to Ikotun division accosted Olaide and another man on Saturday morning with a bag. All of a sudden, one of the men ran away.

“This aroused the policemen’s suspicion and they insisted on knowing what was inside the bag. When the bag was opened, fresh human parts and two plastic bottles filled with blood were recovered from the bag.

“They also found five fingers, human heart, liver, kidney and intestines, all concealed inside a bowl filled with water. The different parts were tied in separate polythene bag and were all put inside the bag.”

The Lagos State Deputy Police Public Relation Officer, Mr. Damascus Ozoani, confirmed the incident.

He said, “Olaide led policemen to a church they had been keeping the human parts. A certain Prophet Dare Akinrosoye was also arrested.”

Goldie’s husband to arrive Nigeria this week

The widower of Nigerian musician, Goldie Harvey, Andrew,has opened up on his relationship with his dead wife.
He said they got married in 2005 and that he was not married to any other person apart from Goldie.
He said they were planning on having children this year and that she had no medical condition.
He said he would arrive Nigeria next week for burial. He said he had already applied for visa and that he would arrive Nigeria this week.

Woman Kidnapped In Lagos After Returning From US For Mother's Burial

Less than two months after 29-year-old Kemisola Ogunyemi lost her mother, her family now has a fresh problem to contend with.

The tragedy of losing her mother on December 26, 2012 had brought Kemisola and her husband, Akin, back home from the United States where they had lived in for about a year.

But the joy of seeing the family they left behind in Nigeria has become short-lived as Kemisola was kidnapped about 8.30pm in Ajah, Lagos on Sunday, February 10, 2013 by a gang of kidnappers.

Since the incident, Kemisola’s husband, Yinka, and father have been too distraught to attend to visitors, a family member who sought anonymity told our correspondent.

The relation told our correspondent that Kemisola was kidnapped about one minute’s drive to her Abraham Adesanya Estate home in Ajah.

She said, “Kemisola and her husband just got an apartment in Abraham Adesanya Estate. In fact, they moved in less than a month ago.

“The day she was kidnapped, she was coming back from a visit to her father who lives in Ikorodu. When she got to Jeffery Plaza, which is about a minute’s drive to her hosue, some men double-crossed her Murano Sport Utility Vehicle, took control of the car and took her away in it.

It's with a heavy heart that I have to write on my blog page that Goldie passed  away, just shortly after she arrived in Lagos. she went to USA for the Grammy awards.I got calls from my friends that she  passed away about an hour ago at Reddington Hospital VI. May her soul rest in peace. Amen!

UNILAG Student Sells His Kidney To Graduate With First Class

According to a report on DeeLinkage, a 24-year-old graduate of the University of Lagos, had to part with his kidney, just so he could graduate with a first class from the institution.

 A University of Lagos (UNILAG) student who couldn’t swap kidneys to save his father’s life confessed in the hospital that he sold one of his kidney to graduate with a first class.

 The 24 years old boy recollected how he sold one of his kidneys to the dean of his faculty a few days before his convocation. He says he was being threatened with the reality of having to spend an additional two years to his already prolonged eight years stay in the school.

 He was nearly in tears while he explained why he couldn’t donate his last and only kidney to his father who is in desperate need of a kidney to survive.

Despite him graduating with a first class, it is sad to say he has never been able to secure an adequate job.

 So with no kidney, no job, and no money, how does this young boy expect to save his dying father?

No job and not enough money…and now he needs a kidney to save his dad.

Meet the 22yr old lady who has 50 orgasms a day
